WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER PLACING AN ORDER FOR A HEARTLAND STORAGE UNIT

Within 3 days you should receive a call to schedule a "tentative" build date. Delivery dates are not guaranteed, please remember that your scheduled date may need to be changed due to inclement weather. The builder assigned to your building will give you a call confirming delivery of your order, either the morning of the arranged date between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., or the afternoon before between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00p.m.

It is not necessary that you be home on the day of construction. If you will not be home we ask that you provide the following:

• Location - Please locate the area in which you would like the building constructed by using 4 stakes to denote the corners and a fifth stake indicating the location of the door.
• Electricity - Please provide an electricity outlet for power tools. (Builder will bring cords)
• Payment - All orders are C.O.D.  If you will not be home, please make payment arrangements. NO CASH PLEASE!
  NOTE: If paying by check, you will need to write 2 checks. One payable to the Independent Sub-Contractor and one payable to Heartland Industries, Inc. The total will be broken down on the invoice brought out on the day of construction.

The location you choose for your building is very important. In order to properly construct the building you should allow two feet around the entire area. Height should also be considered, if it is to be constructed under trees be sure that they are properly trimmed. Heartland does no excavating or clearing of your site. Heartland does no leveling beyond 6". If you decide to have your building located on prepared ground such as gravel, rail road ties, concrete blocks etc. please have this ready prior to the scheduled build date. Treated pieces of wood or shingles are used as shims to level your building. If leveling is required and you have the concrete blocks at the location, the builder will use them to properly level your building.

If your area requires a permit, it is the customers responsibility to obtain such. Heartland does not acquire zoning variances or do covenant searches.

After placing your order, you have thirty days in which to have your building constructed at the price in which you were quoted. After thirty days, the price quoted may be subject to change. If you should want to add or change anything on your order, please call as soon as possible. Builders do not carry additional materials with them.
